The Risti-Muru sand quarry is located in the village of Piirsalu in Lääne-Nigula municipality, Lääne County.
The service area of the Risti-Muru sand quarry is 31 ha, of which the mining area is 17 ha.
The extractable quantity of construction sand is 500 thousand m3.
The area of the Risti-Muru 2 mine and quarry is 23 ha. The quantity of construction sand to be extracted is 1 031.1 thousand m3 and the quantity of aggregate to be extracted is 428.9 thousand m3.
The total sand reserves are approximately 2 million m3.
Sand utilisation area: The excavated soil is used for road construction and construction mixtures.
